Nur Pon Open Space

Nur Pon Fish Channel, Trail Construction, and Park Creation
Finished September 2022 but additional amenities are coming soon!

The Foundation has been a key supporter of the development of the Nur Pon Open Space (formerly called Henderson Open Space). A new fish spawning channel was created to provide essential habitat for young salmon and other fish to grow before emerging into the main river. A new walking trail and bridges allow community access to walking through this beautiful and historical site. Nur Pon was designated as a dawn-to-dusk, off-leash dog park, and fencing was constructed to keep the area secure and clean.

The Foundation raised $6,000 through our 2022 Giving Tuesday campaign to purchase two new benches and one table for the community to use at Nur Pon! We continue to work to raise money and add additional amenities to this important open space. Support the Nur Pon Open Space Benches & Tables fundraiser.
