REDDING TRAIL RESTORATION
Your donations made it possible for the Redding Parks & Trails Foundation to purchase seeds for the Redding trails burned in the Carr Fire. The seeds purchased were used to re-seed over 2 acres of the West side trail system. The mycorrhizae in the soil was also replaced which will help the overall health of the plants and soil in that region. Additionally, wildflowers and at least 100 oak tree sites were planted with the acorns collected by the community. Everything used in the mixes was 100% natural and native, even the fertilizer is an organic carbon based material that will not contribute to the increasing nitrogen levels that have been plaguing waterways. This is a great start however there is much more to do. Sign up below to volunteer or to donate.
