Cumberland Playground Project
Cumberland Park on Cumberland Drive is a popular destination for many families in the neighborhood and much of west Redding. The current play structure is the original installation, which dates back to 1992.
The goal is to replace the existing play structure with a newer, bigger and better structure, and enlarge the play area, including a swing set and possibly a shaded picnic area. The City of Redding will fund replacement of the current play structure; however, public funds are insufficient to add other enhancements such as a swing set or a shaded picnic area. We need to raise approximately $50,000 in grants, donations, and in-kind contributions to complete the entire project.
Personalized pavers are also available to help raise funds for the project. Pavers are $125 and can be ordered by filling out the personalized paver order form and emailing it.
The last day to order a paver is September 16th.
